Project management and scheduling. The Ashton team focuses on pre-construction
planning of all aspects from analysis of plans for improved construction efficiency
to availability and procurement of materials. Schedules are developed by the project
team based on the scope of design and construction. Depending on the owner's preference,
software including Primavera, SureTrak or Microsoft Project is used to create comprehensive,
functional and updateable schedules.
Estimating Software - HCSS Heavy Bid, a leader in the heavy construction
estimating industry, is used for accurate and detailed estimating.
Workforces – The Ashton Company, Inc. typically has a skilled work force
that ranges between 200 and 450. We employ both union and non-union labor forces.
Equipment/Materials. The company owns its equipment – an inventory of approximately
900 pieces. Aside from the more common fleet of backhoes, scrapers, loaders, etc.,
Ashton has the following plants capable of producing specification compliant materials:
- Portable Hot Mix Plant (400 tn/hr)
- Soil Cement Plant
- Crushing and Blending Plants
- Concrete Portable Batch Plant (100 cy/hr)
Additionally, for major concrete structures we own the necessary:
- EFCO Plate Girder Form System
- EFCO Redi-Radius Forming System
- Shoring Systems
Facilities. The Ashton Company, Inc. can respond effectively on new construction
projects as well as on very short notice to emergency needs because of the company's
extensive facilities.

ASME CERTIFIED
Ashton has completed the ASME certification process and has been awarded “S”, “PP”
and “R” stamps, which allows manufacturing and/or assembling power plant boilers,
fabricating, assembling pressure piping and repairing or altering pressure retaining
items at the Ashton main yard and at field sites controlled by our firm.
