Approach

'Continuity' and 'Hands-on' best describe the approach of The Ashton Company, Inc. Upholding the tradition of our founder, an officer of the company will accept responsibility for the performance of a project beginning with the owner's vision and continuing throughout its life until completion.

A significant advantage for clients is that The Ashton Company, Inc. has professionals on staff that virtually builds the project as it is being estimated. There is very little that hasn't been considered by the time the estimate is complete – thereby eliminating a great deal of uncertainty for the client.

Because of our diversity and capability to self-perform an average of 80-85% of a project, it allows us latitude to manage the schedule and control the cost.

Partnering with our clients at every stage of the project ensures that scheduled milestones are accomplished and obstacles are overcome. Satisfying our client's needs, while staying within budget and schedule, are the indicators of our success.

Of significant importance is the quality of our work. Internal procedures have been established to ensure that all materials and work incorporated into a project are specification compliant. Outside testing is also utilized as an indicator of work quality.

The Ashton Company, Inc. has an extensive safety program. It includes a zero tolerance substance abuse policy, weekly toolbox safety meetings, audits, and a safety incentive program for both employees and supervisors. Prior to commencing construction, a Safety and Health Plan is developed for each individual project that identifies the specific hazards for that location. All employees, upon employment and every three years thereafter, attend OSHA 10 hour training. Supervisors attend OSHA 30 hour training and the DuPont Safety Training Observation Program (STOP). Other training includes MSHA, confined space, fall protection, trench and crane safety as well as many other topics.
